∗ Original photo print on archival paper:
Mounted on black mat 4 ply
The image has a gallery-quality mounting, the original photo print on archival paper. Used only highest quality brand-name photo paper from Fuji, Kodak, or Ilford for the photos. To protect against light and time depreciation the print has UV coating. The print is then mounted on a sturdy black mat backing. Once set on the reinforced base, the print has the ideal protection against any loss of shape. The low weight also lets you hang your favorite image on the wall with ease, even if it’s a panorama or large format.
∗ The frame:
Barn-wood frame mountings, sturdy yet light
The mount of the original photo print into a fine barn-wood frame. Any frame 9×12 or larger will include a flat backing and hanging material. A saw-tooth hanger is nailed into the back of a frame at the top center. It is the easiest of the hanging options to install, making it a popular choice for basic framing projects. Because the weight of the frame is supported at a single point, saw-tooth hangers are best suited for smaller or lightweight frames. For larger sizes using one hanger near each of the two upper corners evenly distributes the frame’s weight, and keeps the back of the frame flush with the wall.
